Low Stock Alerts

Fusion Inventory can automatically notify you when your material inventory falls below a specified threshold. This helps you stay on top of your inventory levels and reorder materials before they run out.

How It Works

Once enabled, the app will check your material inventory levels daily at 9AM UTC. If any materials fall below your specified quantity threshold, you will receive an email notification listing all the materials that are running low.

Order-based alerts (Paid plans only): In addition to daily checks, you can receive real-time alerts triggered by orders. When an order is placed and materials fall below the threshold, you'll be notified immediately instead of waiting for the daily summary.

Per-material quantity thresholds (Paid plans only): You can set custom alert thresholds for individual materials that override the global setting, giving you more granular control over when alerts are triggered for specific materials.

Setting Up Low Stock Alerts

To configure low stock alerts, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Settings" page in the app.
  2. Locate the "Low Stock Alert Settings" section.
  3. Toggle the "Enable" checkbox to activate low stock alerts.
  4. Enter a "Quantity threshold" - this is the minimum quantity level that will trigger an alert. When any material's inventory falls below this number, you'll be notified.
  5. Enter your "Notification email" - this is the email address where you want to receive low stock alerts.
  6. Click "Save" to activate your alert settings.

What to Expect

After setting up low stock alerts, the app will monitor your inventory automatically. Each day at 9AM EST, if you have materials below the threshold, you'll receive an email with:

  1. The name of each material that is running low
  2. The current quantity for each material
  3. The unit of measure for each material

Important Notes

Low stock alerts are only available with an active subscription plan. Make sure you have an active plan before enabling this feature.

You will only receive one notification per day, even if multiple materials are below the threshold. The notification will list all materials that need attention.

To stop receiving alerts, simply return to the Settings page and toggle off the "Enable" checkbox.
